Will SCOBY form from unpasteurized Kombucha?

Hello Everyone,

I've been hearing a lot about Kombucha, and bought 2 bottles at the

health food store yesterday to try it. It's good!! If I brew some

sweet tea (with sugar) and add some raw Kombucha, will it ferment?

Will it grow a SCOBY? The purchased Kombucha also had ginger added to

it. Is this added after the ferment? Any advice?

A: THis is how my brother started his, but it did'nt have ginger that I know

of. He gave me a piece of it, and now I have a baby.
