Guest guest
It is really easy once you get the hang of it.. i approached brewing with some hesitation but once you start it is surprisingly easy... Get yourself a glass container with a relatively large opening. You can get some from Target or your local Wal-mart.. about $7.00.. Do not take the one with the spigot.. Refgular Cookie jar. Find a Stainless steel pot of about 2 quart.. Plastic or Stainless Steel Strainer Get a SCOBY.. Several people from this forum will gladly mail you one with starter Find some decent Tea (White, Green or Black) are preferred, start without any additional " stuff " in the tea, i-e no Earl Grey.. You can graduate to these later if you care use Good water, Reverse Osmosis and Distilled Water are well regarded in this forum. Avoid at all cost the use of Tap water... Once you have these a gallon of KT, which will probably better in ALL aspects to store-bought Notice I said a GALLON.. should cost about $1 of material.. Takes about a week to be ready and preparation time is less than 20 mins... Happy KT brewing Frantz Frge skyhenge <skyhenge@...> wrote: We just started using Kombucha a few weeks ago, and my daughter and I love it. It's getting a bit expensive, though, at $3.39 per bottle.
