I belong to the Kefir list and have been making my own Kefir for over 2 yrs

now.

Those grains should NEVER be washed, nor should the Jars ( once every 2 weeks

maybe)

The kefiran that sticks to the sides of the jars and to the grains is

absolutely essential

to maintaining the balance of bacteria and yeast and to producing good Kefir.

Yes change the milk every day.
