Guest guest
Hello: I am new in this love affair with Kombucha, but I already can't get enough of it. Makes me feel great, clean, energized. Questions: I had heard of the starter mushroom being called a " mother. " Is this the same as a SCOBY? Is SCOBY an acronym, and if so, what does it stand for? I had read that all Kombucha is a combination of Lactic acid and Acetic acid. Can anyone tell me more, or send me to appropriate sites, on the superior benefits of one versus the other? Recipes I have seen call for half the sugar of recipes listed here. Any thoughts? Finally, I am looking for a mother/SCOBY. I live in Palmer, MA, halfway between Worcester & Springfield. I would be delighted to drive to get it, or to pay for postage. Thankyouthankyouthankyou! Terry
