Thank you for saying that Patty. LOL " Professional " persona... I was thinking

the exact same thing. It would be nice to know how many people here have thyroid

or calcium problems anyway, and have seen either no problems or even an

improvement since using KT.

Thyroid and KT

Ed, I have been mulling my response to you all day, but here goes.

Your answer to Bev really aggravated me. You are playing word games

and that's not fair to people looking for answers. If KT can reduce

thyroid function, then it could cause or worsen HYPOTHYROIDISM which is

a " disease " . You claim you said it doesn't cause thyroid disease. You

can't have it both ways and if I'm potentially harming myself by

drinking KT, then, since you donned your " professional " personna with

your response to Bev, myself and everyone else deserves a straight

answer!!! I am an RN and also have a degree in pharmacology although

I've pretty much turned my back on allopathy, but you can't get away

with childish word games with me and, as I said before, it's not fair

to those with legitimate questions. Thanks for listening and I hope

you clear this up.

I agree with Patty and .

Please read this thread about a woman who got off her thyroid meds

completely after 10 months on the raw food diet:

http://rawfoodtalk.com/showthread.php?t=26306 & highlight=thyroid+meds

I've been on this diet for almost 3 months and feel fantastic enough

to know that I want to stick with it for life. That and Kombucha

everyday has made me feel incredible!!

Hi ,

It's not really a diet, but a lifestyle. You simply eat plants in

their raw and natural state. There's no calorie counting and ditch

the scale.

I eat lots of green leafy veggies in green smoothies (read about it

in Green for Life by Boutenko). I have at least a 32 oz of

green smoothie everyday, so I go thru a bunch of greens per day. I

vary the type of greens I consume to get a wide variety of

nutrients. Eating that much greens in such a delicious way makes me

feel wonderful. Love them!

If you're interested, there are plenty of info on the web about the

raw living food lifestyle. In fact, I learned about Kombucha on

rawfoodtalk.com.

I'm also lucky enough to live within 10 miles of two raw

restaurants. I treat myself to a gourmet raw meal several times a

month. Raw desserts are the best, much better than cooked desserts

IMHO.

Put me on that list! I take generic synthroid. Puzzling to me, my Dr is

actually into some of the ideas that are expressed here. He has had me take

some interesting things for a Dr. anyway....My Dr. made it VERY clear to me to

make absolutely sure!!!! that my synthroid was/is to be NOT taken with milk,

milk products or even with my morning coffee with cream! For at least 2 hours.

His explanation was.... the synthroid will not go into my system if the calcium

is there with it. So I guess Im lost of what all the hub bub is about

here.....It was mentioned in other postings the mention of adverse side effects

of prescription meds this and that on TV...leaves me scratching my head that a

pill for my stomach (to help me) can make me nauseaous, bleed inside etc and

that is exceptable???? I don't think so! The medical profession has had it's

chance with my body...It is now my dang turn! Im alive but that's about it! My

pills everyday make me really wonder why my existance

goes on if this is what's left! ( Im not suicidal trust me) but this is not

fair for the prescription meds to cost so much and make me feel so rotten! Im

ok every morning until I swallow those!
