This is the first time I heard about this disease, a fungal infection.

I am not a doctor, but I can recommend Kombucha, which is an anti-bacterial

and also an anti-fungal.

As it is such a body-friendly substance you can only win.

A suggested therapeutic amount per day (I read once) was a minimum of

1 litre (quart).

As Kombucha in very acidic form is also effective topically and internally

against thrush, which is also a fungal infection, I should try to build

up to drinking as much Kombucha as you can tolerate and see how your

body responds.

I have said before, you have nothing to lose.

Hey Don... I agree with Margaret... KT may help you in this area. Other things I

found out about " treating " histoplasmosis -

*Low stress life style will help your body.

*No smoking.

*Diet low in yeast foods or high sugar that will cause yeast growth (dairy,

sugar, beer, fruit juice)

*Diet high in fresh, raw foods will help build up weakened system

*Using an air purifier helps to keep your environment cleaner to help your lungs

*Supplementing vitamins C, E, A and B complex

*Acidophilus (live capsules - need refrigeration) and other healthy bacteria

(such as bifidobacteria)can help build up good bacteria in the intestines and

make the body stronger - kefir can help with this

*I have information about other supplements and herbs that you may be interested

in, but I don't want to take up anymore of the KT group's space... so you can

Thanks Margret. I am currently drinking some KT everyday as well as water

kefir. My life style....some stress but not too bad. I will continue with the

KT ( I have a bottle right now). I have looked high and low on the internet,

not much said about histo. I do know it is a fungus that comes from exposure to

bird droppings, dirt etc here in the midwest. Unfortunately what I was able to

find was much less than good news about how it can spread to internal organs

etc. Lymph glands etc. So, I'll just keep drinkin and fingers crossed..... many
