I don't recommend you grow your scoby for a bottle of kombucha you

drank directly from.

If your mouth never touched the kt then you can cover the bottle with

a paper towel or thin cloth (like muslin) stick it in a warm place and

let it be. I did add a slight teaspoon to my kombucha to speed the

process, it took about 2 weeks for a tiny little scoby to grow over

the top of the bottle.

Dove,

I did not drink from the bottle, instead I poured it into a glass. You said you

added a " slight teaspoon " to your kombucha to speed the process....as slight

teaspoon of what?

Thanks!

This may not be related,but.

When bottling a batch of KT. I did take a small sip of the starter tea I set

aside to make a new batch. That new batch got mold on it 2 days later when I

checked on it. I had thought that the ph was high enough and the tea acidic

enough that it would be ok. it may have been a coincidence that that batch went

bad or I may have contaminated it.

.
