To determine what parents and professionals would like to have available to them. No names need to be included. No names will be used. This is for information purposes only. Pls indicate though if you are a parent or professional/ therapist and if possible location. Pls email me directly at aba4u@... Deadline for submissions is Tuesday May 15. Thank you in advance for those who can take sometime to give some feedback. 1. What type of workshops would you like to see in Ontario? - are there specific areas of interest e.g. social skills - what specific speakers would you like to see in Ontario 2. What type of diversity would you like to see offered? e.g. Lovass/ Errorless/Verbal behavior etc... 3. Do you think there is a need for " high quality " training programs for home based teams If so what services would you like to see offered that may not be currently in place. How often would you like to see them offered. 4. How many would like to see a fund developed that aids financially disadvantaged families regardless of child's age ( provincial funding eligibility) 5. Do you feel there is a need for Canadian ABA products (Canadian $)beyond what may already be currently available. -if so what would be your three top choices 6. Are there specific areas in Programming that are difficult to find information on. 7. If anyone is currently receiving home based programming through government approved Canadian service providers, are you happy with the quality and programming for your child? 8. What do you think the Province is lacking most in with regards to Applied Behavioral Analysis? 9. If you are a professional working in the field are there any suggestions you have for increasing availability and or gereral concerns? 10. To all therapists is training a concern to you? 11. What do you do if you are using American Consultants and you run into trouble in your program that needs immediate attention and your consultant is unavailable for a few days or even weeks? 12. What do people think of Center Based Learning ( non intergrated ) vs home programming. 13. For families with children intergrated or already intergrated into the public school system what are you biggest challenges in having your child's needs met and do you feel that if there were training programs for Aides and Shadows that some of those challenges may be reduced? 14. How many of you think an advocacy center would be of benefit to you? eg. to help prepare forms for funding to ensure fair and equitable distribution of funds helping to prepare SSAH forms having one stop shopping to find out your child's rights etc? 15. Is there an interest in having " outreach " programs from Center based Learning facilities that access American Consultants? 16. How many families would be interested in Ontario developing FEAT Ontario and if so what contributions might you be willing to make to support it. ( non monetary ) Lastly if there is something not mentioned here feel free to add your own individual comments.
