Great news! You are making the right decision. Our son Landon 17 months is also being treated there and can't say enough good things about our experience so far.-LeoSent from my iPhoneOn Dec 19, 2011, at 2:36 PM, "curtdennis2003" <curtdennis2003@...> wrote:

Thanks for accepting us into this group, as our 14 month old has scoliosis and after meeting with doctors here in Columbus, OH and then doing research online, we decided we need a second opinion on treatment and find someone that was doing the proper casting and had the proper equipment. We were excited last week when we found out we got into the Shriner's hospital in Erie, PA on Jan 16th. We just have to get the MRI before then, which is in the works. This has been a whirlwind, but we think from what we've read that Erie is going to be a great choice for our little guy.

Hello,

I am new to all this to so I understand what you are going through. Our 13 month

will be getting his first cast on the 13th. I am glad 13 is my lucky number!!

I wish you much luck on the begining of your journey.

We are also from the Columbus area (Delaware, OH) and had the same experience

after meeting with the doctors here, researching and finally decided to go to

Erie. Our son was treated for about a year in Erie and then his doctor

transferred to Rochester, NY and we followed him there for another year. Evan

was 49 degrees at 12 months and was down to zero degrees at 3 years of age. He

is now 5 and is still completely straight. His picture is under Evan in

the Photo section. You are making a wonderful decision for your son. We are so

happy our son was treated and cured through Mehta casting. Please feel free to

contact me if you want to discuss the process, Erie, etc.
