Guest guest
Dear New Ones, You will enjoy your wonderful new experience. Go slow, Drink only two ounces a day to start. I never had any side effects. The first hour after my first four ounces of KT, I could walk faster with my gout. Find out early if your new scoby is acetic-acid based like the old home-brew or lactic- acid based as the ones they get from a store-bought bottle of Kombucha Tea. You are likely to get more visible results if you drink from the old home-brew or if you yourself are older. I am elderly and have many visible rsults from drinking KT since the Blizzard of 96. I believe that Kombucha has kept me younger than I would have been without it. However, in the past almost eight years since, I tunred 80, I have experienced certain changes which I think are hereditary. I drank gallons of milk but have shrunk from 5 ft. 4 in. to under 4 ft. 10 in. which is the upper limits of dwarfs. My perfect teeth from the hard water of Kansas have broken off, and I find I have a crooked dowager's hump. My mother and grand-mother each shrunk a head from osteoporosis, which I am coming to believe is hereditary. I have taken almost every supplement you could think of, including omega-3's and 1000 mgs of Calcium and 500 mgs. of Magnesium almost daily. I stayed looking magically young when I weighed 210 pounds. Now I weigh only 130 pounds and look like your typical skinny, elderly lady with a walker. Yet I still believe in and drink Kombucha Tea. I don't believe it ruined my teeth, but I probably should have rinsed my mouth after drinking it just as a precaution. I do believe that Kombucha Tea helps keep us young and and me still here at my age. A I always say, Kombucha like LOve, " Makes those young whom age doth chill, " And whom it finds young, keeps young still. " You newbies will find out sooner or later if that be true as I still think it is. Blessings on you all. LOve. MArge.
Guest guest
Dear Marjorie, I have been reading a lot about iodine deficiencies and hypothyroidism and joined several of the relevant groups on . Your symptoms sound a lot like that. I could send links if you are interested. Or maybe it has nothing to do with it. Dorothy
