Guest guest
I placed a scoby with strong kt in a plastic bottle, sealed it, placed that in a zip lock back and placed it in my luggage. My scoby and I are in San de de, Guanajuato, Mexico. It leaked a bit, due to cabin pressure, but the zip log bag saved it from going everywhere. I brewed tea with bottled water, placed it all in a larger container, and it all looks fine, smells fine. I am going to leave it alone for 24 hours, then start the pour some, refill method. SO far so good. J

Guest guest
I'm going to hazard a wild guess it's a variation of the " Continuous brew " system. . N. England. Guest guest
Continuous Brew YES! I am a little travel wary tired. I set it up Sunday and tried some today, it mostly tasted tea like. It is cooler here, not warm enough like at home. The scoby that I tore in half to fit down the neck of a bottle and to take it out, is forming itself into a circle. It seems great. Also, I brought my yogurt maker along to make yogurt, I just set it up. I am thinking of putting some KT in the clean yogurt maker to heat it enough to accelerate the KT process, or to just set it up next to it, wrap it all in a blanket and hope the warmth helps.
