Guest guest
I'm new to this kombucha thing and have a few questions for all you experts out there. So, I am working on my 3rd batch of KT, i have a great SCOBY and good looking/tasting brew when I go to bottle. It has fizz and tastes like it should (i think). I bottle it up and then put it into the fridge. Oh - and I also had flavoring (ginger, lemon, whatever) at that point. Right now, I am using a random assortment of glass bottle - one old KT bottle, ball jars, and a mineral water bottle. As it sits in the fridge, it begins to lose fizz. It still tastes good but it seems like the longer it sits around, the less fizz it has. How can I get more fizz??? I keep reading all this stuff about bottles exploding...how does that even happen? Should I not be putting the KT in the fridge? I am totally confused about the second ferment thing... thanks!! Jill
