Guest guest
I've seen French Presses at Target and Tuesday Morning, also. And at a local " kitchen gadget " type store. They make the best coffee!!! Shelle -- French press Everyone, Look at Starbucks (brick or web) - they have all kinds of French presses in all sizes - but don't buy there unless you are flush with dough. Also check the Web under " Bodum " , (no quotes) because a lot of the presses are made by them - most of the ones at World Market for instance. GL! Peggy I have no idea why they are called a French press - maybe the French invented them? Also...I have a very nifty plastic tea maker from Republic of Tea. It won some kind of design award and is very well done. Not too big, so you only make one cup at a time, but basically it's a little plastic pot with a handle and small pouring spout. The largish infuser fits into and rests upon the top edge. There is a little knob that works the stainless steel ball in the bottom of the infuser, and also the lid fits over the knob to keep the water hot while the tea is brewing. (Put the leaves AND hot water into the infuser together). When the tea is to your liking, press the plastic knobby thing and the ball is raised to let the tea out into the pot through the stainless steel filter. Voila! Remove the infuser and either drink your tea from the pot or pour it into a cup/mug/whatever. You can see this device at www.republicoftea.com (a place I have mentioned before - by no means my only source for tea and all the related appurtenances, but a good one nevertheless). __________________________________________________________ Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Mobile. Guest guest
Starbucks is going to charge you top dollar for it. Check with stores like Target, or Wal-Mart. They will give you the best price. World Market is still the best price I have found. Guest guest
I just found a french press at Dunn Brothers Coffee Shop for $14.95. If you don't have a Dunn Brothers, try checking in your local coffee shops. Go into the ones that are local, not online. Sometimes, as in my case, they are trying to clear out the old stock so that then can bring in the new stock.
