I did a google search on honey as an antibacterial.... found some interesting

reading. Sounds like it is used for burns and wounds that wont heal. Straight

up full strength. However there was a mention of diluted honey and some enzymes

changing it into hydrogen peroxide. I am not 100% sure but I don't think you

can drink H2O2 or peroxide. Might make a good fizzy KT LOL! I think I'll stick

to sugar. I will however remember honey for burns/wounds. Too bad, I really

like the taste of mead. Maybe that ain't good for me either. I guess one thing.

I sure would hate to die perfectly healthy. Could have had a hotdog.....

Correct. It's anti-bacterial for the same reason high concentrations

of salt are anti-bacterial.

I love the honey from Ames. http://www.amesfarm.com/ co-ops and whole

foods and farmers market, etc. Single source, raw, the variety is amazing.

I must have 15 different jars here of various varieties - buckwheat to

elderberry (my fav but hard to find - bought them out of what they had at

the farmer's market last time I was there). Not cheap but also not crazy

expensive and worth it, I think.

Cheers,

Jaxi

we have a bee hive and get our bee keeping supplies (and additional honey) from

Doug at Cannon Honey and Bee Supplies. He has delicious raw honey from his hives

up north and has a St store located at Rice Street and Highway 36 NE

Corner (building was once a house) next to Bob's Cycle on the east of Rice St.

You can call him for hours (change during seasons) at 651-245-4009

Homestead Honey, Sogn Valley MN... can be found in MOST co-ops in the Twin

Cities I believe

They sell it in the raw form(in mason jars) or in the more " traditional form " (in

a squeeze bottle)

My dad is a beekeeper and he has some awesome honey. It's won Grand Champion at

the County fair. They actually just did an article on him and his bees

in the Dairyland Peach paper. So if you are still looking for a good source of

raw honey let us know.
