Guest guest
My son has been diagnosed with Torticollis, Scoliosis and a tethered cord (among other things). My husband and I are in the process of trying to get him admitted into the SLC Utah clinic in hopes of him being casted for the scoliosis – he is now 14 months and 40 degrees. I have read a lot of positive stories regarding the casting and that makes me very optimistic. The only thing I have not come across in my readings is a casted child with a tethered cord. Is that an option? Has anyone been in that situation? My concern is that we are at the age in which casting is crucial to be successful. Will the tethered cord `undo' all the progress that he can potentially have? If we untether the cord first, will that put us too late to be completely cured? I would appreciate hearing from anyone in this same predicament. Thanks! (mother to Liam)
Guest guest
We also go to the shriners in Slc and you will love them! I dont much about theathered cords but it seems like most who share their stories have them unteathered first.
