Has anyone tried making a batch with the SCOBY like stuff in the

bottom of a bottle commercial KT?

I tried it and it looks like it's working. I've got bubbles and what

appears to be a layer of SCOBY forming at the top. Has anyone else

tried this method?

BTW, I used Rasperry Black tea, raw sugar (turbinado) and a 1 gallon

glass pickle jar.
