Guest guest
Hello everyone, I looked in the archives, but didn't see an answer to my question. I was wondering if anyone else uses white paper towels to cover the jar, and if they have success, or does it have a negative effect by being in close proximity to the culture. (not touching, but a couple inches away) Thanks
Guest guest
I use Viva towels over my brew container and have never had a problem. However I always unroll and use the second towel that has not been in direct contact with the air. Guest guest
I use large coffee filters, just straighten them out, lay them over the opening and either put a rubber band around, or other restraint. I use a 2.5gal crock which has a ring that I insert. Seems to work well, and it is gets messy, just put in a new one. Very low cost. Guest guest
I've never had a problem using " Common or garden " variety kitchen paper towel + rubber band. N. England. If a group has NO topic there's no such thing as going " Off-topic " A.B.A.L.T.A.T. " Any, LEGAL, topic which other groups would consider Off-Topic.
