Very gassy after being casted

Mommy and Daddy's I need your advice yet again!

Ella (5 1/2 months) was just casted for the first time this past Monday. She is

VERY gassy now. She burps a lot as well. She isn't throwing up or having

diarrhea (she is having slightly runny stools though).

Did anyone else have a child experience these things after receving the cast?

Could it be because of the anesthesia or her body just adjusting to the cast?

The thought of it being too tight is looming at the back of my mind...

My heart is just breaking for her. She's unable to sleep more than an hour or so

before screaming due to gas cramps. Not to mention she can't get comfortable

because of the cast.

Any thoughts are appreciated,
