And on this topic, what has everyone experienced with video modeling? It

seems like a good idea in the way that social stories are a good idea. We

know that many of our kids are obsessively involved with TV. I have read one

favorable article. If it turns out to be EMPIRICALLY validated, then I may

implement in my classroom next year. It would be a major pain, though, so I

would like to research it more. What does anyone think?

Have you seen the article " A Comparison of Video Modeling with In

Vivo Modeling for Teaching Children with Autism " in the latest issue

of Journal of Autism and Developmental Disorders (Vol. 30, No. 6,

2000). They did a small study and had excellent results with video

modeling. We plan to try it with our son (though he is 2 1/2, much

younger than the school-age kids in the study).
