The ped wants to admit my son to the University hospital about an

hour and a half away for a full workup to find out what is wrong with

him these days. He's been sick since the beginning of December. He

has a history of immune def (IgG, IgM, IgA def, T-cell antigen

proliferation defect, pneumococcal antibody def.). She ran a blood

panel the other day, but he's been on 80mg of prednisone so I'm not

sure how much is valid. His IgG is low, IgM is high, IgA normal, his

lymphocyte subpopulation was low Cd3, low cd4, low cd3-cd4, and

really really elevated cd19. His IgE (despite being on prednisone)

is still 243 which is the highest I've ever seen it. His SED rate

was 10 with normal being up to 15, but he's on steroids so I'm not

sure how that will play out if he wasn't on them. I have NO clue

what the CD19 being so elevated means (if anything). He's very

fatigued and pale and continues to have shortness of breath etc. His

chest CT was abnormal and showed right upper lobe pneumonia, but the

radiologist said it looked like atypical pneumonia. I am wondering

if he could have allergic bronchopulmonary aspergillosis, but not

sure. He also has a history of eosinophilic esophagitis.

Does anyone know anything about any of this? His been well for a few

years so I feel like I am out of the loop and we no longer have an

immunologist since we moved and there isn't one here.

Thanks,
