Guest guest
Hi, I started with Raynaud's and now they are thinking RA. My hands were effected but eventually both my hands and feet. Usually running warm water on them or just getting up and moving around seemed to help. Eventually though they started getting completely numb so they started me on a blood pressure med (verapamil) and I haven't had a problem since. There is a lot of info on the web but I think you should talk to your reg Dr. soon as the advice of keeping your feet up is exactly opposite of the recommendations for Raynaud's. It is lack of circulation to the limbs so sitting with your legs elevated would reduce even more blood. Dawn
Guest guest
I've heard that circulation is better with your feet elevated. With your feet low blood will flow to your feet but have a hard time getting back to the heart for circulation. With your feet higher your heart will pump blood to you feet and gravity will drain it back for recirculation. That's what I've heard but I'm not a medical professional. Good luck and God bless. ----- Original Message ----- From: Kurt and Dawn Lange Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Saturday, July 19, 2003 5:55 AM Subject: Re: Raynaud's Syndrome Hi,I started with Raynaud's and now they are thinking RA. Guest guest
Lynn, Remember all of the women who have had a diagnosis of lupus yet have overcome it....don't give up. Lynda is one, Molly is another, and I am certain there are more.... from many years ago too. It may take a few years for this to all settle down, so don't get anxious about worsening symptoms. (I know it's easier said than done.) Just stay encouraged, and read some books about people who have healed from lupus. They are discussed in books like " Spontaneous Healing " by Dr. Weil, " Fasting and EAting for Health " by Dr. Fuhrman, and other websites like Curezone. Never give up!
