school decision

Thanks for all the comments on whether or not to send Abby to kindergarten. I

met with the teacher, nurse, psychologist, and social worker at her school today

and they ALL recommended holding her back a year. We are currently looking into

other options for her for this year, and will probably send her to K next year.

Our school district has a preschool program for 4 and 5 yos and includes special

needs kids. They work with the kids on an individual basis, working on whatever

areas they need. They offer bussing, which is free, and if your child qualifies

for the special ed part, the school is free, as well. If we can get her into

that, it would be a great option for her. Havent been able to reach anyone

there yet today, though. Chances are she wouldnt start there til October,

though. Still feeling stressed out here, though!
