Yes. I started out with terrible chest pain, kind of a burning that wouldn't go away, before I knew I had RA. I went to the ER thinking maybe it was my heart and the doctor told me it was arthritis. It has come and gone every now and then since I've been on meds. I still do get it occasionally but never as bad as the first time. I never knew you could get arthritis in your chest but I've had pain in every joint in my body since and even down my shin bones. This disease is not kind.

Subject: Anyone experience chest wall pain?

I am wondering if anyone else out there has been experiencing any chest wall pain/ache along with their RA? is this unusual?

Barbara,

From my research this is something that can happen with RA. The fluid

between your lungs and the ribs are being affected. I am and EMT and

suggest you see your Rheumy or a Doctor ASAP.

Best Wishes,

YES!!!!! Oh my gosh!! I thought I was going crazy!! I mentioned this

to my dr., and he said " Well, you have a lot of joints in there that

could be affected. "

I'm so glad (well, glad isn't the correct word here) to know that

it's not in my head - actually that's the only place that doesn't

hurt!!

hi,

I certainly experience chest wall pain.

At the moment I am in flare up and my chest, hands, shoulders and my left

knee are affected.

This would be the worst it has been in the 8 years since I was diagnosed.I

am meant to be having my carpal tunnel operated on Monday so here is

hoping. They have already delayed it once.

I wish I could have my knee fixed though as easily.I seem to have no energy

and my R.A. has never affected me like that before so I am wondering if in

fact the Fatigue is caused by the R.A. or something else.

Well enough of the moaning.

Thanks everyone for listening.

Cheers,

ette
