Guest guest
> > Hi Dr Geller My daughters strep titers have been : april 1380, June 1310, 888 in Oct and just recently her OCD was out of control and sure enough they're up again to 960 - Is that enough of an increase to consider her as a possible PANDAS kid?? She's never had strep to my knowledge and any throat cultures have been negative -she had a treatment of antibiotics at the end of august for 3 weeks which I think may have resulted in the drop to 888 when tested two months later as recommended - however aroound that time of the 888 she had a hard time OCD wise even in school for the first time - maybe the blood was drawn and then she was exposed??? The teacher says noone in the class had strep recently - could a cafeteria/bus setting send her numbers up? - could exposure to any illness make the DNase test go up or is was there definately a strep exposure to make that rise? what do you think we should do next - keep watching numbers Vs. symptoms?? Would she be a candidate for plasmapharesis or IVIG I've read about? Could these high numbers just be a kid with a really strong immune system that can fight strep off??? She's always had one. any advice would be wonderful thanks Eileen >
