Guest guest
has had several local reactions but I couldn't tell you if they are product/tape/EMLA related. He has only ever been infused with Carimune NF 12%. Coming up on 2 years now. Guest guest
Gammaguard Liquid ~Pattie Curran~ Piedmont Triad, NC Elbridge Gerry--signer of the Declaration of Independence, Govenor of Massachusetts and Vice President of the United States under Madison.... Ever wonder where the term gerrymandering comes from? While serving as governor of Massachusetts from 1810 to 1812, Elbridge Gerry helped enact a law dividing the Bay State into political districts favorable to his own party. This resulted in some odd shaped districts. One district looked like a salamander, someone said. Someone else joked that it looked more like a " gerrymander, " making a play on the governor's name. To this day, the practice of drawing boundary lines to favor a political party or group is called gerrymandering. _____ From: [mailto: ] On Behalf Of Ursula Holleman Sent: Wednesday, April 05, 2006 9:37 PM Subject: [Norton AntiSpam] subcutaneous site inflammation/irritation For those patients who have experienced irritated or inflamed skin at the site of subcutaneous needles, what product were you infusing? Guest guest
My boys' site reactions are different than their adhesive reactions--- the site reaction is bright red, itches and has a blotchy shape (if I had to describe it) their adhesive reactions are the exact shape and size of the adhesive-- On J the one that had a hole in the middle? The hole was normal skin and the rest was red-another reason we know it is the adhesive. The site reactions go away with benadryl and over time.the adhesive reactions my boys have last for days & weeks-and some turn to scabs-it is almost like a chemical burn, if I had to describe their adhesive reactions. ~Pattie Curran~ Piedmont Triad, NC Elbridge Gerry--signer of the Declaration of Independence, Govenor of Massachusetts and Vice President of the United States under Madison.... Guest guest
I already replied to this one-but meant to ask if Macey was having site reactions? Or are you just surveying/polling to see how many folks get reactions and to what brands? ~Pattie Curran~ Piedmont Triad, NC Elbridge Gerry--signer of the Declaration of Independence, Govenor of Massachusetts and Vice President of the United States under Madison.... Guest guest
We were using Carimune, I often wondered if that specific product was the cause of the pain and swelling. I believe that Carimune contains a good amount of sucrose and I've wondered if that was behind our problems. Doesn't matter, Conner refuses to try it again. I think now he doesn't like the idea that he would have to go back to once a week, instead of every 3-4 weeks. Mom to Conner (11, possible combined immune deficiency, Asperger's, mild CP, partial seizures, asthma, GERD, Hashimoto's disease and resolved adrenal insufficiency), Hayden (11, unknown PID, PDD-NOS, IBS and moderate hearing loss/aided), Evan (11, unknown PID, asthma and mild hearing loss/unaided), and Kelsey - (10, unknown PID, asthma) Please visit us at www.caringbridge.org/in/connersmith
