Guest guest
Well the VA did it again, what a beaurocracy!! I was sent to the wrong place, to see a surgeon, when I was supposed to be at the surgical department which is where they give Remicade infusions. one and a half hours after my appt. I finally talked with one of the doctors who give the infusions. The medicine has to be ordered two days prior to the appt. so there was no way I could get mine. To top it off before Remicade is prescribed rules require that a RA patient be prescribed Enbrel first for at least 90 days. Must be less expensive! I do prefer trying Enbrel since I won't have to drive 120 miles for the infusion. So, the Enbrel has been ordered, 90 days worth. When It arrives I will see my Doc and get started, hopefully within the next 10 to 14 days. Now I'm perusing any and all information I can find on Enbrel. I would appreciate any information from any one taking this drug. Thanks and God Bless, Jay
Guest guest
, Congrats on nursing school. We need good nurses and you should be proud. I've been on Enbrel for 4 months. I'm too chicken to inject myself so I have my school nurse (I'm a teacher) do it. Sometimes my husband gives it to me. I was pertrified about needles but Enbrel is easy. It has given me my life back. My wrists are not as inflamed, the fingers are not becoming more crooked, my pain is diminished and I have more energy that I ever did on Methotrexate and Prednisone.I think it's a good move and it will slow down, if not stop, any further moving of joints. My deformities are a result of pre-Enbrel treatment. Now, I feel like a million times better so I hope you have the same results. Best wishes, > > I finally have muddled my way through the insurance/bureaucracy mess > it takes to start Enbrell and will be starting in a couple weeks. > I'm a little nervous and I know there is probably a million archived > messages about this topic, but I could use some reassurance.
