HOME SWEET HOME...NOT!

Happy Holidays Everyone!!!

Well I was hoping that I would be writing this from the comforts of home but

I'm not, I'm still here stuck in this hospital! I was suppose to leave

yesterday and was SOOOO looking forward to that and I even had my giddy up

and go attitude back....I was so excited but then I called my husband to

find out when he was coming by and he told me that an hour prior he began

throwing up and had diahrea (sometimes at the same time! YUCK). It appeared

to me that he had caught the Norwalk Virus and there was no way that I could

go home as he was in the highly contagious stage of it and had contaminated

probably everything in the house with his touch! Plus the nurses say that

it is possibly airborne and with my rheumatoid arthritis (compromised immune

system) I shouldn't go home and asked if I could stay with anyone until he

recovered from it. So I called my sister and asked if I could stay with her

for a few days, most likely until Monday. To make a long story short, she

more or less said that it wasn't a good time for her as she had a busy

weekend of things to do....to me, I felt like I was an inconvenience to her

and it hurt me deeply. She said if I wanted to I could stay overnight on

Monday at her place but today she said it would be better for her if I

either went home (if is better) or stayed in the hospital...so much for

sisterly love. I was stunned by her answer as I know if it was me I would

have rearranged my schedule to have her come and stay with me...I guess

everyone is different. Just something more to add to my pile of " downers "

for the last few weeks! I hope this will be a great Christmas as it is my

most favourite time of year but right now I'm just too saddened with all

that has happened to have any joy flowing right now. So here I sit with my

butt on the bed getting very sore. I can only pray that hubby will be

feeling better soon because he will have to sanitize everything once he is

feeling better before I can come home as the virus last for 12 days on

surfaces.
