Guest guest
, my 4 1/2 yr old son has been on proefa since nov 29th. His only problem is verbal apraxia. The first day on them I noticed that he was extremely hyper. He continues to be hyper so much that my daughter who is 16 is begging me to take him off of the efa's. So far we have not noticed any positive results. I'm going to talk to his speech teacher this week (she does not know he is on efa's) and ask her if she has seen any improvement in his speech. I have been trying to keep him on them to see if anything happens, but since i have no doubt that they are causing him to be hyper i will probably take him off of them soon. Guest guest
I know that it has probably been said 1000 times where to purchase efalex, but would someone please tell me again. Im willing to try something else on my son. Is there any side effects from the efalex that some have experienced that I should be aware of. thanks
Guest guest
, I have a son who gets the same on ProEFA but does great on Efalex. Guest guest
My son has been on Pro-EFA since October. I have noticed great improvements with speech and ccordination. Over the holiday break he was off it for 2 weeks due to a stomach virus. I did not notice any regression. Interestingly he did take long naps in the afternoons. Now this could have been because of the holiday excitement and he wasn't feeling 100%. I'll tell you this since he is back on this past week I haven't seen any major improvements in his speech (although when I sneezed today he said Ga bless Mommy which was a first)! Back to my point, he has been napping very little all week. Maybe a 45 minute catnap in the car at most. And going strong at 9:00PM, which before the holidays this was unheard of. No nap meant bedtime at 7:00PM! Happy days are gone for Mom if this keeps up! So in his case, he is not more hyper if anything more alert and more aware of what is going on around him which is making him more active. For us that is a good thing. The more stimulated he is the more language we get from him. You could certainly try another EFA like Efalax or maybe go every other day with Pro-EFA and see if that helps. Good luck and let us know how you make out as this is always an interesting topic. Mom to 3.6 and 23 months
Guest guest
I just wanted to say that I have adjusted the time that I was giving the EFA's ( we are doing Omega 3's only right now) and since 3 days ago- Chris is back to a normal sleep schedule. I can't help but think the EFA's had something to do with the night waking because at that time I was giving it to him around 6:30pm Stacey
