Guest guest
I don't know about the taste. I gave my daughter ProEFA right off of the spoon, and she said, " mmmm. " I then switched her to Efalex and I still give it to her off of the spoon and she still says, " mmmm. " I was mixing the ProEFA in food and she didn't like it like that. She is great about taking it off of the spoon. >From: " johahna " <johahna@...> >Reply- > >Subject: [ ] A question about the taste of Efalex >Date: Sun, 13 Jan 2002 02:53:15 -0000 > >I wondered how the taste of Efalex compares to ProEfa? Guest guest
--I bought the Eflalex for my 4.6 year old. before I gave it to him I figured I would try it first. Horrible! I could not disquise the taste, I tried chocolate pudding, yogurt, soda, applesauce, and juice. we both had a hard time getting it down and then it left such a bad after taste. I ordered the Pro Efa and I hope that is better. I know people use it, so it must not bother some kids. I figured if I couldn't take it I couldn't expect him to. Why are you looking to switch? > I wondered how the taste of Efalex compares to ProEfa? Guest guest
- I am looking to switch because the ProEfa had no effect on my daughter except it seemed to make her hyper. She has autism so I have heard the borage oil doesn't always work well for kids like her. Speech is very hard for her so I am hoping the Efalex might help. It is amazing what I can get her to take in her juice. Joanna > --I bought the Eflalex for my 4.6 year old. before I gave it to him I > figured I would try it first. Horrible! Guest guest
---Have you considered the coromega (omega 3), it tastes good. I have considered using the coromega and primrose oil, to get the omega 3 and 6. On the other site it appears some kids react adversly to the borage oil and they switch to the primrose oil. And some kids can't use either and so they just use the coromega. Have you checked out that group, a lot of great info on the supplements used with a specific diagnosis.
