Hi Michele, and everyone~

My niece Kayla was like this, loving sour things, hot cinnamon candies,

Altoids (two or three at a time) UNTIL she was prescribed Tegretol for her

epilepsy (Complex Partial Seizures ). Now her taste buds are " normal " and

sensitive. She still has mouth issues with the SI; but, it was interesting

to see the difference the medication made in her as we watched her develop

into a more normal 5 yr. old. Another major change we noticed was in her

being comfortable with swinging. Even though her OT was working with her

weekly on the swing, developing security, etc.; the Tegretol made the

difference. Now she loves to swing, the higher the better (for her, not Mom!)

.....we have to watch her and guide her to make the safest and right choices

while playing.

Another two-cents worth...take care and good luck!
