Guest guest
Hi, Thanks for thinking of us. My son got a four hour pass out of the hospital BOTH Sat and Sun. I enjoyed spending the time with him. He is not one bit better, if anything he is worse. To be fair I realize the dr wants all the test results back and mri before they make a major med change or adjustment. The only med change so far was they have added 25mg of Anafranil to his daily meds of 200mg gen Zoloft and 150mg of Seroquel. I doubt such a small dose of Anafranil could make much change. He seems much more quiet now, he took 45 min sitting in the truck to decide where he would like to eat today. Sometimes he acts like he may be remembering bad events from his childhood but when we ask he says nothing. Something tells me the PTSD is a very large part of the problem. I asked a social worker yesterday could he be given something to make him remember and tell us about his past and they said sure if you want to see your son have a breakdown and be even worse. Semms like someone with severe OCD would be concerned with washing themselves repeatedly instead of just standing still in the shower for an hour or more. I wonder if memories of the past torment him in the shower/bathroom when he is alone. I must be positive and tust the drs team will tell us something this week.
