Guest guest
Hello. My name is . I joined last week but didn't have the time to introduce myself properly, so I am doing it now. I am 42 y.o., HIV positive since 1992. I used to be an amateur bodybuilder; I was in very good health until disaster struck in Nov. 2006 when I was diagnosed with acute Hep-C. I still have no idea of I got infected, as I did nothing that could put me at risk. I had to start the standard Hep-C treatment (Pegyinterferon and ribavirin), which is a VERY hard treatment with tough side effects. I became very anemic, had no energy, it was like a flue from hell for one year. This treatment also causes serious depression. I couldn't work out and lost so much muscle and gained fat. The treatment ended a few months ago. I was lucky because it was successful and I was cured of hepatitis (people who have HIV and Hep-C don't have a very high success rate), but I have to start the process of re-building my body (and my spirit) now. Obviously at the beginning of the treatment I had to stop testosterone cold turkey. I have read and 's book many times over the years (it's like a bible to me, I almost memorized it) and now look forward to be part of this community.
