Guest guest
I am just wondering if anybody has had any success getting rid of or diminishing hard nodules from pmma. I have silicone subgluteal implants that I like alot done by Dr. Senderoff in NYC. I needed about 300 cc's of PMMA in my butt to help blend them, and to fill by the anus. I got 70 cc's By Dr Serra in Brazil and all of it is hard. Hard like the hardest cartilage in the ear ( the part closest to the ear opening). It might even be harder than that. But definately softer than bone. I tried 70'cc's of clinicestetica's Precise and again the PMMA is very hard. It is almost glue like since I feel the tissue in that area is just stuck. I don't mean to scare anyone from getting PMMA. I know some people have had great results. I am just one person who cannot use this stuff at all. I have great results with Sculptra BTW. I have tried taking allopurinol ( a gout medicine). I have had high doses of cortizone injected into each nodule for a peroid of a year by a great dermatologist in NYC. He was very careful not to damage healthy tissue. I tried fibroquel ( suppose to remove scars) at clinicestetica which was a waste of time and money. My butt looks okay at first. It is fuller on the top beacause of the implants. But when I bend over the skin stretches and the nodule are visible. They can also be readily felt. I am very angry to have spent alot of time and money on something that has made me absolutely miseable. Because of this I am depressed and I don't date. It is easier to have anonymous sex with the lights on very low. I would appreciate any feedback. Thanks Tom
Guest guest
I'm so sorry that you've gone through all of this to have so many problems. I would think that the best thing for nodules around PMMA would be corticosteroid injections. They might really help, temporarily if you have nodules. I would talk to a dermatologist. He may feel that they are too fibrous to respond to treatment, but it might be a useful treatment. I would certainly ask. Some firmness around the injections with PMMA is not uncommon, but it usually is not as distressing as what you're experiencing. I hope you get some help.
