Hello Carolyn,

Well this really does sound like a move in the right

direction. The babbling sounds you are describing have

many more vowel and consonant sounds than your

daughter's high pitched squeal or her more non-descript

grunting.

I hope she continues to feel better. I miss seeing you

both.

Imitate her when she's playing with these string of

prespeech babble. Make a game or a song when washing in

the tub, washing hands in the sink or walking up the

stairs. She may be more likely to imitate you when doing

a gross motor activity than sitting in a chair (in a

therapy situation). Remember it's play!

I'M SO EXCITED TO HEAR ABOUT THIS CHANGE!!!!

Speak to you soon. Lori
