Guest guest
Got results on all my hormone tests and everything came back normal.. But for some reason, even though I am in very good shape and very low body fat, I am growing breasts... not to noticeable now , but even my doctor is concerned. Very informed hiv doc but not to informed as to what to do, so I did some Internet research and sent it in to her. It looked to me the best treatment would be DHT gel applied to the breast area, several studies showed this worked and worked fast.. Unfortunately I will have to go off propeica and likely lose some of my hair...Oh well, man boobs or hair.... The likely culprit is the Sustivia, although its odd I have been on it for years, but the breast growth has only been in the last year, or maybe that's just when it became noticeable. The bad thing is she can not locate DHT gel anywhere, its probably only available in Europe... Oh well where there's a will there's a way...Another choice might be regular testosterone gel? The only other studies where using Tamoxifen which is a cancer drug and seems like a last resort to me... not sure what the side effects would be...AlGet fantasy football with free live scoring. Guest guest
Propecia will help you grow hair but kill your erectile function. We have posted several emails in the past in this list about DHT gel showing good results to decrease breast tissue growth in men. Yes, Sustiva has been linked in several reports to this problem. It is not known if Sustiva has an effect on estradiol ( a female hormone) or androgen receptors. Testosterone and anabolic steroids can also cause breast tissue growth in men with a genetic predisposition to produce a lot of aromatase which can convert testosterone into estrogen, or those who have high fat mass (fat mass seems to make it easier for aromatase to convert testosterone into estrogen). We really do not know the mechanism why DHT gel may work. It is believed that it may block estrogen receptors in breast tissue. You can find DHT gels in most compounding pharmacies. Call the folks at gotocompoundingshop.com and ask them Regards, VergelDirectorProgram for Wellness Restorationpowerusa dot org In a message dated 7/23/2008 12:11:21 P.M. Guest guest
I take Arimidex, which, like Tamoxifen is an anti-cancer drug. Don't get hung up on the " anti-cancer " part. The reason that it is an anti- cancer drug (for women) is that it keep E2 (estrogen) levels under control. If you go to the Testosterone Nation website, these guys have become chemists in the process of learning how to manage their horomone levels. They know more than most doctors. Keep in mind, that one thing that you cannot do on these web sites is to ask anyone for sources of medication (legal or illegal) or you could be banned from the site. Anyway, what they recommend is Testosterone + HCG + an AI (Aromatase Inhibitor). Based on my research and feedback from guys on that web site, I was able to get my doctor to prescribe Arimidex. I take 5mg of Testosterone gel (Androgel)every day. I take the HCG injections every 3 days or so and the Arimidex every other day or so. Arimidex is a powerful anti- estrogen. If you are worried about side effects, Google it.... I didnt find much that scared me. There is another medication that is not legal in the US ( but it IS prescribed just about everywhere else in the world legally called PROVIRON (the substance is Mesterolone). Basically it is DHT. The big drawback is that it WILL make you lose hair. It will also make you horny as a dog. Anyway, my 2 cents. Dont be afraid of the anti- estrogen. > > Propecia will help you grow hair but kill your erectile function.
