Guest guest
Hi everyone, I had my first visit to my rheumatologist yesterday. Basically he is not totally convinced that I have RA. He feels that many primary care doctors when they see a middle aged woman with joint pain--that they use the term RA without a full medical evaluation. So he is doing more blood tests (CPK, TSH, repeat Sed Rate) and a Urinalysis. I go back until the end of the month. I did ask him about the condrotin and the fish oils--he kind of laughed and told me to stay away from those things. I wasn't sure if he was serious or not...I plan to ask him again at my next visit and I am going to keep taking them until he can give me a serious reason why I shouldn't. I am starting to " flare " again. And a cold front is moving into Pennsylvania--temps will be in the teens so I'm sure I'll be in some major pain. I have been doing some shopping on the internet and ordered some magazines to keep my mind " off " the pain. No one told be that RA could be hazardous to my credit card!!! Take care, J Sala
