Guest guest
Ft, Lauderdale ADAP Advocacy Conference December 3-5th Ft. Lauderdale, FL In response to requests to repost this notice… It’s not too late to register!!!  Please feel free to share.  On November 4th, Barak Obama was elected President with 53% of the popular and 364 electoral votes. When Obama announced his candidacy for President nearly two years ago, all of the odds were overwhelmingly stacked against him. But through his perseverance, determination and strong organization and message he prevailed on election day with a mandate from the voters. Now it is "Our Time" to prevail with a new day for AIDS advocacy in America and declare our mandate: Improve access to care for all living with HIV/AIDS! There is no better time for HIV/AIDS advocates to assemble and discuss how best to work constructively with an Obama Administration and the 111th Congress to implement needed reforms and secure additional federal funding. The first 100 days are critical for setting the tone of Obama's first term as the 44th President of the United States. Collectively, we need to be prepared to hit the ground running if the serious issues confronting people living with HIV/AIDS in America are going to be addressed in a meaningful way. "Yes We Can!" Let's take Obama's own slogan and translate it into action in Washington, DC! So please join the ADAP Advocacy Association (aaa+) and Title II Community AIDS National Network (TIICANN) in Fort Lauderdale, Florida on December 3-5, 2008. We're invited all stakeholders interested in improving access to care to come to Florida and help us formulate an action plan that will result in CHANGE!
