Does anyone know if I should continue taking the Lexiva/Truvada without the Norvir? Or wait till I return to San Francisco on Tuesday. Guest guest Posted December 28, 2008 Report Share Posted December 28, 2008 The reason norvir is added to lexiva is to extend the " half life " . Otherwise you wouldnt need norvir. Without the norvir, lexiva in the body gets processed out say in 4 to 8 hours. So if you could take lexiva every 4 to 8 hours, you can skip norvir. One way would be to take 2 lexiva pills every 8 hours (ie 3x/day), or take one lexiva every 4 hours. Its a tough schedule but doable for a short period.
