Guest guest
A little update. I did email Martha expressing my concerns about ageism, and she did confirm that it's not her, but what the client wants. She was actually very supportive and nice and even said she was going to let her client know that we chronologically enhanced HIVers are just as handsome and photogenic and deserving of the money as the youngsters. (My phrasing. not hers! LOL) **************Make your life easier with all your friends, email, and favorite sites in one place. Try it now. Guest guest
Did it ever occur to you that maybe they want younger people for this because they are more likely to refuse going on meds? I think a lot of the younger gay community still has their heads buried in the sand when it comes to HIV. Maybe they are attempting to " normalize " meds for a younger crowd. I doubt it would convince too many to start meds if they showed " really sick " looking people in the commercials...that's just the way it is. > > --- Original Message --- > > Subject: Looking for HIV+ men and women for a photo shoot > > From: Martha Lazar <martha@...> > > Date: Tue, December 02, 2008 1:26 pm > > > > I am casting 2 ad campaigns for HIV medications. The see the cute sex object first, and later, notice the product. You might as well complain about people with running facial sores not being included in porno.JB
