Hi Tammy. My daughter went through a period of months where she would wake

up in the middle of the night and think it was time to play, stay awake until

almost morning and then go back to sleep. Then that went away, but she

started to have problems seasonally with sleep apnea and a stuffy nose at

night which is even worse than before. She has hypotonia. She had one

injury to her right foot/ankle and she dragged that foot for a day (that

whole day I feared she had a degenerative neuro muscular disease) but I don't

know how it happened. I think because of her low tone and flexibility she

injured while jumping or something. Carolyn

Hi,

I am just wondering if any of your apraxic children suffer from sleep disorders?

Also, if you apraxic children also suffer from hypotonia like my daughter does,

have you had serious injuries that were a direct result of the hypotonia? At

this time I actually have a disabled parking permit because of my daughter's

hypotonia and the danger is causes, especially walking. This is just a

curiosity to me, especially the sleep disorder factor.

Tammy
