Guest guest
Those exercises might have something to do with a method of professor Buteyko, which is called a cure for asthma at http://www.wt.com.au/~pkolb/buteyko.htm. Guest guest
That sounds like a problem I had about a year ago. My PCP had x-rays taken and blood tests for a heart attack. These came back negative so he referred me to a cardiologist who did an echocardiogram and found that I had pericarditis. This is inflamation of a membrane surrounding the heart and buildup of fluid between the membrane and the heart. It inhibits heart function and often shows up as shortness of breath, usually with some chest pain also. My most comfortable position while I had this was sitting, hunched forward. Apparently this is also typical of pericarditis. You may have something else but it is worth getting your heart checked. (Mine was easily cured by increasing Prednisone and starting Ibuprofen.) Good luck and God bless. ----- Original Message ----- From: Jenn H. Rheumatoid Arthritis Sent: Monday, December 29, 2003 9:10 AM Subject: Asthma Hi everyone, Hope you all enjoyed your holiday. I have been on meds Enbrel, Plaquinel and Arava for about a year now. Lately I have been having trouble breathing. We think it may be Asthma. Do anyone else have trouble breathing? It is worse when I am lying down. Thanks, JennHAPPY NEW YEAR
