Guest guest
Hi Gillian, I believe you have the wrong email address. But I guess if must be luck on my part because I have been wanting to talk to someone about ProEFA and Apraxia. My daughter Aliyah (2 1/2) was just diagnosed with Apraxia and I am terrified. I want to start her on ProEFA but can't figure out how to give her the capsules without her choking or giving her the liquid without her throwing up. Sorry, I feel like I am barging in on your privacy but I guess I feel desperate, do you have any advise?, sa

Guest guest
HI To give my kids the PRE-EFA tablets is I first punch a hole in the tablet and squeeze it on a spoon and add a little coke syrup and I tell them this is " Grandma's Medicine " , since my mother was first on giving this to my children. My kids have no problem taking it. JOYA

Guest guest
Hi Tammy, There is never a guarantee that EFAs work for every child. Many have reported results on straight Omega 3 products. Sometimes you have to try more than one brand to see which one works. It doesn't work overnight for everyone so be patient before switching from one to the next. On a personal note, within days of my child taking Pro-efa he was attempting more sounds and new word approximations. In 4 months he is now up to 3-4 word utterances. His attention is better and he seems happier with his new found voice. I haven't tried another brand because so far this is working for him. I am not familiar with ProEPA. One of the products that has been successful is Pro-efa (also called Complete Omega) made by Nordic Naturals. Pro-efa is an Omega6/omega3 combination. Here is the breakdown of what is in it. Borage (seed) Oil 180 mg GLA 40 mg DHA 99 mg EPA 148 mg Vit E 8 I.U. Some parents have reported recently that they have bought other brands and have also seen improvements. Other commonly discussed brands are Efalex and Coromega By the looks of recent posts I think we may be seeing more success stories using other brands. I encourage everyone you to check the dates on the bottles as well as find out if the product is third party tested for purity and freshness. Of course you should run it by your healthcare provider as well. denise --- In @y..., " Tammy Sowell " <Tammy_S68@m...> wrote: > So how does one know whether to try EFA's of ProEPA to increase your child's speech??
