I perhaps missed the more explicit posts, but I found the one or two I did see to be very enlightening and meaningful. I highly respect Kajira for being for having the courage to share that with us. I very much appreciated the information and appreciate Kajira's candor in explaining these things. While posts I saw were a bit too sophisticated to have meaning for children, I don't read every post and so don't know what else was out there. I don't want to second-guess the people who must make the decisions regarding moderating the lists. - s (back to figuring out life without cars, with two cars under major repair)
Guest guest
Here's the deal: We have children posting on this forum. I had nicely suggested we end discussion on BDSM on this forum a few times (as Raven will attest to). In fact, I did it so nicely that no one paid attention. So I made a new posts on the issue but deleted it because I decided to make a revision. The second one got posted to the board, but both got sent out as e-mails as do all posts that arrive to the board and are subsequently deleted. It was to the first post that Inger responded with her flame e-mail. These words seemed to rile her: " We don't need for either Inger or Kajira to hop on board and start comparing notes or going into details about what they do in their private lives. All we need to know is that it is " Deviation, Sexual. " Had she read or responded to the second one, she would have seen: " Inger's post answering 's inquiry was acceptable. Kajira posting her details was not. No one asked for her opinion, and all she wanted to do was find out what others liked. " Raven said: " What he does see are other posters who are not wanting the BDSM discussion to continue any longer. I know for a fact that at least two people (myself and another person with whom I speak regularly who posts to this forum) have had it up to " here " with the discussion. Every time we think it's over and done with and laid to rest, you or Kajira come back with more allegedly 'for information purposes only' posts on the subject. " " To use your word ... ENOUGH! " I know of more than a few who are tired of the BDSM conversation also. They've written to me to tell me of this. That was why I wanted to put an end to it. If people want details, they can look it up in a medical manual. I stand by what I said: " What's low class is when someone posts to the board revealing their entire sexual repotoire under the guise of scientific relevency when in reality, all they are trying to do is find out if others get their rocks off in the same way. " This was what Kajira seemed to be doing. The rules for what can and cannot be said are in the FAQ Database. Kajira has straddled the line a number of times and we can not have that with underaged people on the board. In fact, my post to explain what it was on BD's forum that I found objectionable was in response to Kajira not finding anything objectionable there at all. I should never have posted it, but her response that even THAT material (the material I posted) wasn't objectionable seems to show that she has no conception about what straddles the line and what doesn't, so I indicated the following: " The dicussion about all this ends NOW, or I will start deleting any new posts the next time I come online if I see them. " " If members disobey, they may be placed on moderation. " " Let's set aside the topic of sex for an area of discussion for a while. " As for the rest of Inger's post, I will attribute it to misunderstanding the thrust of my post, having read the deleted one and not the one that followed immediately afterwards. Beth was right to step in and keepthings from going any further than that. Now for the time being, here is what happens:No more talk about BDSM or sexual topics for the time being. No more talk about illegal drug use either. Kajira stays moderated for a short time, and I will rethink her moderation tomorrow. Inger is forgiven for flying off the handle. Guest guest
Rainbow I think Tom has explained before that because he is running this site he is personally responsible and talking about illegal things here could draw unwanted attention to this site (hope I've got this correct). You wouldn't want the site closed down would you? As for Kajira - to my knowledge she is still welcome here. > > > Tom: " No more talk about illegal drug use either. " Rainbow: " How about no more right wing christian fundamentalist pontification! Your bible talk bores me to death! " I thought you were a Christian/Pagan priest. " But then, its your show isn't it? Guest guest
Well Tom, I'm afriad to say, that if you disagree with it, that you are indeed against the quality of life of thousands of patients who could live longer, feel better and enjoy life a bit more. Where other medications might have bad sideeffects or no meds availible for certain symtoms. M.J as medically approved med by trained doctors, unlike yourself greatly assist the individual case study by case study. Guest guest
Tell that to the hippies. In the meantime, let me remind you of my stance. It does seem to have medicinal value...yet it is still illegal. When the federal government makes it legal for medicinal use, then I won't have a problem with people using it for medical use.
