Guest guest
, was Geri unable to take Fosomax because it was hard on her stomach? Sue (Oregon) [ ] Fosomax Sue, hope your Mother is feeling OK. Geri Sprang , who used to be on this list, took the nasal spray, calcitonin. She could not tolerate the Fosomax and had been in pain from her bones, I believe. There is also a newer pill advertised on TV, begins with an A,- -Actonin, maybe. I am too tired (lazy) to look it up online. My , hopefully, last whine on this subject-----I paid $186 for 100 pills and a few hours later, I opened the bottle and there was only 30 pills in it. I rushed back to the Kaiser pharmacy , hoping they would believe me, and it turned out they put my label on a bottle labeled -on the back,- 30 pills. At least they knew it was their error and gave me 70 more pills. A "perfect" ending to the whole day!!! Well, as long as it works I won't complain. Guest guest
Is anyone else taking Fosomax for osteoporosis? I'm on my third packet(3rd month) and I think I'm having some sort of strange intestinal reaction to it, but I'm not sure. It's a once-a-week tablet, which I take on Sunday, and by Tuesday I'm getting severe lower abdominal pains, kind of like gas pains. These last for two or three days. This is the second week in a row that it's happened. The first time, I thought it was just coincidence, but it's not anything I've been eating and I'm not sick otherwise. It doesn't really list this in the side-effects. I have an appointment with my rheumatologist coming in up in a couple of weeks, and I'm debating whether or not to take it again this Sunday.
