I have collected a few 'homemade' tooth cleaning options from forums, have not

tried them all:

I either brush with water or use my own " toothpaste " that I make from 1:1

coconut oil/baking soda and some added drops of cinnamon oil.

or

A~'s Living Clay Tooth Powder Recipe:

6 Tablespoons Clay (generous)

2 Tablespoons baking soda

2-3 teaspoons ground cloves -to your liking

¾ tsp. peppermint essential oil

Stevia powder – to your taste

Mix together and shake well. You can modify it any way you'd like.

Experiment!

Put regular toothpaste on your brush, wet it. Dip it into the powder mix and

brush. Afterwards run your tongue across your teeth to feel the difference.

Amazingly smooth. Prevents plaque buildup. Takes away coffee and tea

stains.

or

Make your own paste by mixing salt and baking soda 50/50 in a container. Then

just put a teaspoon in a mixture in a small glass or cup and add a small amount

of hydrogen peroxide. Just brush on.

I really like the Eco-Dent powder, not sure how that stacks up, price-wise. I

have also used Dr Bronner's peppermint soap, straight up, and did not think that

was too bad, but I have a high tolerance for strong flavors. I have read that

some people can handle it if they dilute it a little, and I suppose a touch of

stevia might help too - or xylitol, which is good for your mouth

budget. I'm all for that! Super excited. Researching things that weren't a big

deal with more expendable income like laundry detergents, dish soap etc. right

now price doesn't matter. I just pay what I pay and thats it. BUT, going down to

one inco,e requires that I be more creative and not settle for toxic. What do

you all do for cleaning supplies, tooth paste, deodorant, toiletries etc? Im

looking for cheaper green alternatives. I don't expect it to e cheaper than the

toxic crap at the grocery store, but certainly cheaper than running to the co op

and just grabbing whatever is on the shelf. Im not a huge fan of amazon. But

even ordering in bulk or auto shipping to save some money is feasible. Just

discovered Charlie's soap at the diaper store. So I think that's a good option

for cloth diapers and clothes, but if anyone knows of something less expensive,

that works, please let me know. We use Norwex cloths for kitchen and bath but

still sometimes need some sort of cleaner on rare occasions. Also looking for

dish detergent and dish washer detergent that works but if green. Currently use

melaleuca. They're. It spends but require a 60-70 dollar a month order and I

need to cut that back.

have some other more economical ideas let me know. Thank you!!!!!
