Happy Valentine's Day

Having Fun with WordArt in MS Word

Happy Valentine's Day

Welcome to the month of LOVE. I think we should have Valentine's Day on the

14th of every month… Or maybe, on the first

of every month to give us a jump-start. To keep with the love theme of the

month, here are a few ideas…

1. MatchMaker - Cut a heart in two pieces. Put names of famous couples (or

things that go great together), one name on

each half heart. The players take turns finding the matches. Here are some

couples to get you started… Cinderella and

Prince Charming, Romeo and t, Adam and Eve, and Cleopatra, Blondie

and Dagwood, Superman and Lois

Lane, Fred and Wilma, Bonnie and Clyde, Homer and Marge, Barbie and Ken, Samson

and Delilah, Mickey and Minnie.

These are good for older kids to generate discussion. For younger kids, you can

use pairs… peanut butter and jelly,

bacon and eggs, milk and cookies, ball and bat, shoe and sock, toothbrush and

toothpaste, paper and pencil.

2. The Kissy Game - Put numbers or letters on small circular stickers. Put

a sticker on the bottom of the Hershey's Kiss.

Have players " match the same " , " match lower case to upper case " , or " find the

one that comes next " . When the player

finds the correct match or corresponding letter/number, she/he gets a kiss. You

can also put what, where, when, and why

on the stickers. When the player chooses a kiss, they have to answer a what,

where, when, or why question. After

answering correctly, they get to keep the kiss.
