Guest guest
Hi! This question is for everyone out there (especially Drs.) My second son (Lenny - 3.5 years old) with oral/verbal apraxia. He is in an intergrated nursery school where he receives speech and OT. He takes 1 ProEFA a day and is doing very well. He talks up a storm since on ProEFA and his clarity is slowly improving. My 3rd son ( - 19 months) was just evaluated for a speech delay (he was on target with speech up until 15 months of age but since then has not made much progress). He will be starting speech 2X a week through early intervention shortly. In addition, I want to start him on ProEFA. I just recently had my fourth (a baby girl named Alyssa). She is only 5 weeks old. MY QUESTION IS THIS -- Can I take ProEFA myself while I am breastfeeding her? If I can (and do), will this prevent her from having a speech delay? Please reply. Thanks in advance for your help. Lynaugh p.s. - my first son ( - 6 1/2) was a very early talker.
