Guest guest
Hi. I wanted to let everyone know that something we need to watch out for with ra is blood clots. I was discharged yesterday from hospital after being patient fighting to live because my legs had blood clots that broke loose and hit my heart and lungs. Now all ra treatments (was on methotrexate) have to be put aside till my blood is thin enough to not clot and docs having problem with level. I found out that if you have swelling anywhere in your legs you are subject to blood clots. Then, any hard lick, long trip, bed sickness, among such more, can cause blood clots, and allow them to move upward. I have never been so scared in my life, but I had enough sense to realize I wasn't breathing normally and got emergency help in time, but do have damage now from it. There is some kind of filter which I will be talking to doc about tomorrow to disallow bloodclots to come up above pelvic. If anyone feels like they can't intake air, struggling to breathe but not feeling relief, or have very sore places in legs, go to doc asap. Blood clots are very serious.
