Guest guest
Hi Rick, First of all good luck, you will have a blast. If its like the ones in California...you will have no problem with nutrition. They plan for around 6,000 calories for men and slightly less for women a day. There should be plenty of Gatorade/ or similar drink on the rest stops. If this is not the case, fill your camelback/ water bottles with a mix of water and dry electrolytes. That is what I did. Make SURE YOU DRINK PLENTY OF EITHER GATORADE OR SUCH A MIX...OTHERWISE YOU CAN FAINT AND FALL. REMEMBER, ONE CAN DRINK TO MUCH WATER AND OVER HYDRATE. DO NOT LET THIS HAPPEN! YOU MUST DRING ELECROLYTES IN YOUR WATER. I AM A LONG DISTANCE RIDER SO THIS ADVICE AND WHAT EVERYONE ELSE WILL ADD WILL ALLOW YOU TO HAVE A WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE. WE ARE ALL PROUD OF YOUR UPCOMING RIDE. GOOD LUCK AND GOD SPEED! THAD IN SAN ANTONIOPsssst...Have you heard the news? There's a new fashion blog, plus the latest fall trends and hair styles at StyleList.com.
