Guest guest
To all who've switched their children from Proefa for behavioral reasons--which other supplement worked for your child? My 2.9 year-old daughter has been on Proefa since Dec. 22. I haven't noticed any real improvements in speech yet, but her eczema has cleared up 100 %-yay!!! For this reason, I don't want to experiment and take her off the efa's. Buuuuut, her behavior lately has been awful. I'm not even sure it started with the supplements. She's finally getting over a cold and her first ear infection (in one ear only and not a terribly bad one), but she's still irritable and seems more hyper. At any rate, I can safely say that the supplements are not *helping* her mood any, as so many have found to be the case with their children. So, after all that, has anyone switched from Proefa to something else that improved, or at least, didn't alter their child's mood/behavior? I was looking at ProDHA-it seems to have high dha and epa, without the borage or evening primrose oils. Thanks, Barbara
Guest guest
I just started Dylan on some Omega 3 supplements, and an evening primrose oil one - is the primrose oil causing problems for others? and where/how do you get the Proefa you have all been talking about? Guest guest
Barbara, I posted a reply to this question you posted on the other site. Again, I found that what I thought could be the proefa causing behavior issues, actually was the illnesses which can have effects after she is better. My daughter's progress from proefa and behavior issues will backslide when her one ear is clogged up (wax can't drain from it), has bronchitis, or breathing problems at night. Then when she's better and a wait a bit, she seems to have a surge in progress. Also, I previously supplemented her with efelex for 1 year and noticed that her teeth grinded stopped within 11 weeks, but the progress with finally saying purposeful words started with proefa. Everything works differently to everybody. Good luck, Carolyn
Guest guest
ette, You can get the Proefa at the CHERAB site. It's a good price and part of the proceeds goes to the foundation. Guest guest
- Kirkman Labs sells a ProEPA and ProDHA. We switched from ProEfa to ProEPA for behavior reasons. We had no behavior problems on ProEPA but I am not sure it has enough DHA to help with speech so I am also using Efalex. You can find Kirkman products at www.kirkmanlabs.com Joannaadding E-- In @y..., Barbara Eckert <borjeckert@m...> wrote:> To all who've switched their children from Proefa for behavioral reasons--which > other supplement worked for your child?
